The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed concerning the high number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area every day. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to permit the servicing of SRD all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
